Meet the Chivas Family

The story behind the Chivas Ranch begins with the meeting of two teenagers in high school. Back in 2002 shortly after meeting Jason, enlisted in the US Army. While on leave, they both eloped to Las Vegas and were married at the Little White Wedding Chapel. You know the one Elvis Presley was married at!

Jason’s service as an infantry soldier for the 1st Cavalry Division took them to Texas for some time, and the two eventually made their way back to Southern California. There, he decided to follow in his father's footsteps and became employed at the local sheriff's department for 15 years.

Both Jason and Chanel both came from deep roots in agriculture. His family had a dairy farm in Nebraska, while hers had farmed an expansive plot in Puerto Rico for generations. They had a dream to fulfill that would require a wholesome, small-town, country-living lifestyle and the heart and knowledge to grow good food. They dreamed of living close to nature, raising healthy food for their family, and providing a safe and wholesome environment for their teenagers to grow up in.

It began with a dream.
